Permanence Health was founded out of frustration with a reactive medical system — one that waits until problems show up before taking action. Inspired by a grandmother’s remarkable 101-year life and grounded in firsthand experience as a paramedic, our approach is different: proactive, preventive, and personal.
We don’t sell quick fixes. We provide education, testing, and tools so you can make informed decisions and take real ownership of your health. Our values — trust, curiosity, and resilience — guide everything we do.

I was born and raised in Miami, Florida, as a first-generation Cuban-American, where an active, outdoor lifestyle shaped my early years. From a young age, I developed a deep curiosity about the human body and a natural pull toward science—an interest that would later evolve into a lifelong pursuit of understanding performance, resilience, and health.
My passion for endurance training began with a simple idea: that running could strengthen the heart and improve efficiency. That concept sparked a commitment that has carried me through countless 5Ks, 16 half marathons, and four full marathons. Alongside running, I incorporate cycling, resistance & functional training, and rowing as part of a well-rounded approach to cardiovascular fitness and functional performance.
I spent a decade serving with the City of San Antonio Fire Department, including three years as a firefighter EMT and seven years as an Engineer Paramedic. That experience provided a frontline perspective on acute and chronic health conditions, reinforcing the importance of prevention, early intervention, and physiological resilience.
I am currently advancing my clinical training through an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing program at the University of the Incarnate Word, with the goal of pursuing a Doctor of Nursing Practice as a Family Nurse Practitioner. My longterm vision is to integrate clinical medicine, performance science, and preventative care into a cohesive model that supports both athletes and healthconscious individuals.
At the core of my work is a simple belief: health is our most valuable asset. My mission is to guide individuals toward optimizing their healthspan—building strength, preserving cognitive function, and enhancing cardiovascular capacity—so they can perform at a high level not just today, but across the decades that matter most. Through structured assessment, evidence-based strategies, and personalized guidance, I aim to help each individual forge indefinite resilience and meaningful return on their investment in health.
Born and raised in England, I spent my early years working on my family’s farm, where I developed a deep appreciation for the land and gained firsthand knowledge of how food is grown, harvested, and produced. After moving to Texas, I continued working in agriculture through ranching and raising cattle, further strengthening my understanding of the vital connection between food, health, and the environment.
My passion for health and wellness was reinforced during my 10-year career as a Professional Firefighter and EMT with the San Antonio Fire Department. Responding to countless medical emergencies, I witnessed firsthand the devastating impact that poor nutrition and unhealthy lifestyle choices can have on individuals and families. This experience revealed a common thread behind many chronic illnesses and inspired me to pursue a path focused on prevention, education, and long-term wellness.
Driven by a desire to help others reclaim their health, I became a Certified Nutrition Coach through The National Academy of Sports Medicine and later earned a degree in Holistic Nutrition from Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts. Today, I combine evidence-based nutrition coaching with holistic assessment tools to help individuals identify imbalances, address root causes, and create sustainable lifestyle changes.
My approach is rooted in the belief that God created the body perfectly so that it could heal and thrive when given the proper nutrition, support, and environment. I am passionate about empowering others with practical knowledge and personalized strategies that help them restore health, improve vitality, and achieve lasting wellness through food, lifestyle, and faith-centered principles.
